40 Years of Real Estate Experience
1st Generation
June
Michael became a licensed broker in New Jersey.
September
Homestead Realty, Inc. opened for business, managed by broker and founder, Michael Laino.
1982
1985
May
Homestead Realty completed their first transaction, selling the first of what would be over 1,100 homes in the Homestead at Mansfield Community.
November
Homestead Realty went into the commercial leasing business, managing the leasing for all tenant space in the newly built Homestead Plaza I in Columbus, NJ. (Fun fact: Homestead Realty’s office is located in Homestead Plaza I!)
1985
2nd Generation
June
Elizabeth Muhlbaier, Michael’s daughter, joined the Homestead Realty team. Eventually Elizabeth would go on to become the Broker of Record for Homestead Realty.
2000
2001
July
Homestead Realty, Inc. became the primary listing agency for Country Walk, a family-friendly premier community in Mansfield Township. Homestead Realty would go on to sell 165 homes in Country Walk.
February
Homestead Realty took on all commercial leasing responsibilities for a second large center, Homestead Plaza II, also located in Columbus, NJ. Including these two plazas the realty team now services over 30 tenants and 80,000 sqft of commercial space.
2011
3rd Generation
2021
October
Steven Mannion and Lauren Doyle, Michael’s grandchildren, became licensed Real Estate Agents in New Jersey and became the 3rd generation to join the Homestead Realty team.
2023
Today
Over 40 years later, Homestead Realty’s business continues to thrive! And while he has officially passed the baton to his children and grandchildren, it is not uncommon to see Michael at the Homestead Realty office in Columbus (with his dog Mickey!), making sure things are still running smoothly!
